London Calling Vol: 1 ๐Ÿฟ

Hello there! It’s been a while since the last time I posted something here buuut I’m back with a very exciting post.

[Esp] He vuelto! He pasado algunos dรญas perdida pero es porque estaba de vacaciones en un lugar increรญble. Esta entrada es muy especial para mi y ya verรกn porquรฉ.

Last week I was lucky enough to visit one of the most incredible cities for the very first time! And yes, I was waaay too happy. London has been on my list of places I need to visit since I can remember. It was so surreal and most of times I felt like crying because I couldn’t believe it.

[Esp] La semana pasada tuve la suerte de poder visitar por primera vez una de las ciudades mรกs increรญbles del mundo y que ha estado en mi lista de lugares que debo visitar desde que tengo memoria. Y si, estaba extremadamente feliz, tanto asรญ que en algunas ocasiones sentรญa que iba a llorar en cualquier momento porque no podรญa creรฉrmelo. Fue completamente surreal.

Diego and I stayed for almost 6 days and we did some intense tourist tour by our own. Although we couldn’t go to a few places on our list, we saw so many things/places! We’ll definitely visit London again and visit other places on our next trip.

[Esp] Diego y yo nos quedamos casi 6 dรญas (digo “casi” porque fueron 5 dรญas y la maรฑana de otro) e hicimos un recorrido turรญstico intenso de manera independiente (con ayuda de algunos amigos ๐Ÿ’–). Hubieron muchos lugares que no pudimos ver debido al tiempo, pero aรบn asรญ, vimos tantรญsimas cosas que aรบn no lo puedo creer. En definitiva vamos a volver e iremos a todos los sitios que nos faltaron.

After we got to city, we went to our Airbnb (which was a damn fine place with a very nice host in Hackney) left our luggage and started our journey.

[Esp] Al llegar a la ciudad, lo primero que hicimos fue ir a nuestro Airbnb (el cual era un sitio sรบper bonito en Hackney con un anfitriรณn agradable y atento). Dejamos nuestro equipaje, nos lavamos un poco la cara para despejar el cansancio y empezamos nuestro recorrido.

While we were there we got the chance to visit the Moomin shop where I obviously got some goodies but couldn’t take any pictures of the shop itself since it was super crowded. You can see some shots of me at the store on my ig, but nothing too fancy ๐Ÿ˜‚

The fact that I got to see so many places that I used to check online was overwhelmingly nice. This is my first time I went abroad for vacations and it was an amazing experience. We visited a bunch of stores such as Artbox Uk (which is ADORABLE), the London Graphic Centre and the Japan Centre, which is a market with a bunch of japanese goodies. Books, magazines, food, cutlery, stationery, sweets, you name it! We ended up having some yummy pastries such as melon pan and the choco cornet ๐Ÿ’–

[Esp] El poder ver en vivo tantรญsimos sitios que solรญa ver solo en internet me llenรณ de mucha emociรณn. Es la primera vez que voy de vacaciones a otro paรญs y fue una experiencia sรบper bonita y enriquecedora. Fuimos a varias tiendas que querรญa visitar como Artbox UK, el London Graphic Centre y tambiรฉn el Japan Centre. Este รบltimo es como un mini mercadito lleno de cosas japonesas. Tienen desde cosmรฉticos, libros y utensilios de cocina, hasta revistas, chuches y comida para preparar en casa. Lo รบnico que compramos fueron pastries para el camino, el famoso melon pan y la caracola de chocolate!

I can’t remember where else we went. We visited so many places! Next thing I know and I’m sure that we saw was Regent’s Canal, well, at least a part of it. We had a very relaxing walk around it and I just took a very few pictures because I was trying to soak all of those gorgeous views and enjoy that moment. After that we had beer at a local pub that was the coziest place I’ve ever been.

[Esp] A penas puedo recordar los sitios que visitamos ese dรญa. Es que vimos tantas cosas que es difรญcil ponerlas en orden cronolรณgico. Lo que si recuerdo es que finalizando la tarde fuimos a dar un paseo por el Regent’s Canal. Casi no tomรฉ fotos porque estaba tratando de mirar todo detenidamente y aprovechar el momento para relajarme un poco. Luego de eso fuimos a un pub super acogedor a brindar ๐Ÿป.

London was incredibly beautiful and surprisingly colourful. So green and lovely! I mean, I just couldn’t have enough, I fell in love with this city and I promise to go back.

[Esp] Londres es increรญblemente hermoso y sorprendentemente colorido. Estรก lleno de espacios verdes preciosos, con un contraste impresionante en su arquitectura moderna y las edificaciones viejas. Deseo y prometo volver muy pronto porque, spoiler alert ๐Ÿšจ quedรฉ enamorada de la ciudad.

I Hope I can edit all the pics from the second day really soon before I keep forgetting the places we visited ๐Ÿ˜† This post by any means is a tourist guide, but if there’s anything that you’d like to know about London, you can ask me and I’ll gladly answer ๐Ÿฅฐ

Self-care days ๐ŸŒฑ

This is a very personal post. Nothing skincare related, but a self care one. I’ve been feeling down these past two weeks and I found the source of all of the stress and pain. I found myself in a toxic work environment and feeling all my effort was meaningless, which bothered me a lot since I work really hard and try my very best everyday.

Last month wasn’t going as I was planing. Also fell of a bike while I was trying to learn how to ride it. I’m covered in bruises now, yet I feel incredible because I got the chance to do something that’s been on my list since I can remember. This month started as a great one. I’ve been seeing some good friends, meeting others that had so long without seeing them and meeting in person one of the most special people I know.

I’ve been trying to be much more aware of my surroundings, to connect with the people I love, to really spend time with them and really listen to what they have/want to say. I’ve been feeling so much and so intensively. Maybe it’s because I’ve been feeling extra loved, but this, my friends, is amazing. I see things in a different way and I like that.

My birthday was a week ago, and even tho I wanted to share some memories from that day, I can’t put any of them into words. I felt way to happy, deeply loved and extremely grateful. Life’s pleasant when you do the things you love with people you love. That’s all I can say.

I know this entry is really random, short and only written in english, but it was the way I felt it should’ve been. I’ll be back pretty soon with more entries skin care related and also, I’ll be sharing some favourite spots in Madrid reaaally soon. Hope you’re all having a marvellous week.

[Esp] Hola, rayitos de sol ๐ŸŒž Esta entrada es una de esas super clichรฉs donde hablo un montรณn de cosas sobre mi (ughh). Este lunes cumplo 26 aรฑos, asรญ que querรญa compartir con ustedes una lista de 26 cosas sobre mi que (quizรก) no sabรญan.

  • I was born and raised in Venezuela ๐Ÿ‡ป๐Ÿ‡ช .
  • I’m half colombian ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ด.
  • I LOVE sweets. Desserts are my main thing ๐Ÿฎ.
  • I’ve been living abroad for more than 2 years.
  • I never learned how to ride a bike without training wheels until this past July 30th. Yes, three days ago.
  • I’ve been surrounded by animals since I can remember.
  • Married my best friend and it’s one of the most heartwarming moments of my life.
  • LOVE animals, specially cats, dogs,chickens, foxes and bunnies (no specific order). Otters and bears are pretty cute too ๐Ÿฅฐ
  • Have two favourite colours: Pink & Yellow! Although this year I’ve been pretty in love with everything lilac, mint, mustard yellow and orange ๐ŸŠ
  • I studied graphic design but I want to work on illustration.
  • Actually, I’m a freelance illustrator.
  • Could spend DAYS listening to K-pop and japanese tracks in a non ironically way.
  • My favourite Disney character is Alice, from Alice in Wonderland.
  • Gotta love pizza and lasagna!
  • The best food is Venezuelan food. (FIGHT ME).
  • I’ve had many random colours in my hair since I was 13 (and I won’t stop).
  • I’m a crafty lady and everything DIY I want to do it.
  • I greet pets wherever I go. Not sorry.
  • Binge anime like there’s no tomorrow.
  • I know korean alphabet but don’t know what most words mean.
  • Stationery freak over here. I could talk about colours and paper for hours and I’m not kidding.
  • I’m the kind of person that loves to eat a good chocolate bar ๐Ÿซ.
  • Wish I could visit Japan, South Korea, Scotland, Italy, Germany, Greece and Thailand. Also want to visit all of South America, Puerto Rico, USA, Switzerland, Iceland and Russia. One life is not enough.
  • My favourite place on earth is one near the water ๐ŸŒด
  • I’m terrible at talking with people so I avoid discussion at any cost.
  • I’m petite (1.56 cm).

What’s on my Wishlist [July Edition]

This might sound a bit silly, but I really love to make wishlists ๐Ÿ˜‚ It’s something I truly enjoy and find it relaxing (don’t ask me why ‘cus I really don’t know lol). So here I am, sharing a few items I’m currently loving and wanting ๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ซ

[Esp] Esto puede sonar un poco tonto, pero me encanta hacer listas para todo, en especial wishlists ๐Ÿ˜‚ Es algo que de verdad disfruto y me hace sentir relajada (no se porque lol). Hoy les comparto algunas cositas que desearรญa tener en mis manos.

This Zara blouse is so darn cute! I love how romantic it looks.

[Esp] Me encanta comprar ropa, pero sorprendentemente solo quise incluir una pieza en esta lista. Quizรก mรกs adelante pruebe hacer una wishlist de solo ropa ๐Ÿค” Esta blusa de Zara es bellรญsima! Me encanta que se ve sรบper romรกntica y etรฉrea.

I’ve been wanting a pair of new sneakers and these Puma ones are on my top favourites (and they’re currently on sale ๐Ÿ˜ญ). I’m such a fan of white x pink colour combo and these shoes are so freaking beautiful!.

[Esp] He querido comprarme un par de zapatos deportivos desde hace un tiempo y recientemente me crucรฉ con estos Puma ( justo ahora estรกn en oferta ๐Ÿ˜ญ) y me encantaron! Soy demasiado fan de todo lo que sea rosa y blanco, y en estos zapatos la combinaciรณn es preciosa.

On the makeup category I have a few (a lot!) things from Colourpop. Sadly I can’t find a place to buy them here in Madrid and honestly, customs suck and I can’t buy anything over 22โ‚ฌ, otherwise I have to pay a fee that’s really high for me. Here are some if my favourite palettes that I wish I could buy. 1.- Brunch Date 2.- Sweet Talk 3.- Yes Please. These are in no specific order, but I guess the one I prefer the most is Sweet Talk ๐Ÿ˜…

[Esp] En cuanto a maquillaje tengo un par (un montรณn) de cositas, sobre todo de Colourpop. Tristemente no consigo ningรบn sitio donde comprar nada de esta marca en Madrid y honestamente, no me pido nada desde su web porque aduanas en Espaรฑa es horrible y no puedo comprar nada de 22โ‚ฌ (con el precio del envรญo incluido) porque sino debo pagar impuestos, IVA o lo que sea y es demasiado para mi. He aquรญ algunas de mis paletas favoritas que desearรญa poder comprarme. 1.- Brunch Date 2.- Sweet Talk 3.- Yes Please. No estรกn en ningรบn orden en especรญfico aunque creo que la que mรกs me gusta (por los colores) es “Sweet Talk” seguida de “Yes Please” jaja.

Next on my makeup section I have Cloud Paint by Glossier which is actually the only thing I I really truly deeply want to try from them. The thing is, I don’t know which colour because all of them are gorgeous! I guess my favourite shades are Beam, Storm and Haze ๐Ÿค” Obviously I couldn’t leave behind Fenty’s Diamond Bomb because glitter everything is all I want.

[Esp] Uno de los rubores en crema que MรS deseo probar es Cloud Paint de Glosssier. No se cuรกl color me irรญa mejor, pero mis tonos favoritos son Beam, Storm y Haze. Obviamente no podรญa dejar de lado el iluminador Diamond Bomb de Fenty porque amo todo lo que brille y lleve glitter.

This category is a mix and match or something like that. You’ll find special items / collabs from some of my favourite illustrators, like Esther Kim and her Esther Bunny x Lily By Red eye shadow palette, the enamel pins x Chuu and this ultra cute pouch (that I really want because it’s super practical to travel with).

Oh Carol has been one of my top 5 artists since 2007! The Hanami collection was super beautiful and I’m still deeply in love with this t-shirt. I mean, sakura flowers and Sailor Moon? How Am I supposed not to love this?! And then is this incredible artbook by Maruti Bitamin who’s art is so amazing that make me feel light and in peace ๐Ÿ’–

[Esp] Oh Carol ha sido una de mis 5 artistas favoritas desde el 2007! Cuando sacรณ la colecciรณn de Hanami morรญ un poquito porque es BELLรSIMA. Sigo estando super enamorada de esta camiseta. Sailor Moon y flores de sakura? Es imposible no amarla! Y luego estรก este increรญble artbook de Maruti Bitamin cuyo trabajo me encanta y me hace sentir relajada de lo bonito que es.

I’m a sucker for stationery and that’s not a secret for any of my acquaintances. Here are a few (quite a lot, actually) of my current “wants” ๐Ÿฅฐ First on the list are these MT washi tapes. I love how minimal yet lovely their designs are! Some of them are currently on sale at El Corte Inglรฉs’ web. Click here for the yellow pattern and here for the green grid.

[Esp] Soy DEMASIADO fan de los artรญculos de papelerรญa y eso no es secreto para nadie. Aquรญ les dejo algunas (o muchas, la verdad) cositas que me han parecido lindos. Lo primero son los washi tapes de MT, los cuales me gustan un montรณn porque tienen diseรฑos super minimalistas y bonitos. Algunos de ellos estรกn ahora en oferta en la web de El Corte Inglรฉs. Mis favoritos actualmente son el de rayitas amarillas y el de cuadritos verdes ๐Ÿ’–

Next on my Stationery category are these gorgeous pocket notebooks by ICONIC, an incredible korean brand that makes great collabs with incredible artists! I wish I could have EVERYTHING from this brand because I’m madly in love with all of their merchandise.

[Esp] Lo siguiente en mi lista de papelerรญa son estos hermosos cuadernitos de bolsillo de la marca coreana ICONIC, quien tiene colaboraciones increรญbles con artistas geniales. Ojalรก pudiera tener todo lo que hacen porque sinceramente estoy enamorada de todas y cada una de sus colecciones.

I mean, look at these adorable pocket notebooks! You can find the cats designs here and here, the rooftop illustration one here and the girl with the cat in this link. There’s also this cat note pad that transform into an envelope. There are other designs but this one was definitely my favourite ๐Ÿฅฐ

[Esp] O sea, miren lo adorable que son estos cuadernitos! El del gatito con el desayuno y el del gatito barista son demasiado cuchis. El de la terraza y el de la chica con el gatito no se quedan atrรกs. Tambiรฉn estรก este bloc de notas donde las hojas se convierten en sobres ๐Ÿฅฐ Hay mรกs diseรฑos, pero este fue mi favorito (creo que ya se dieron cuenta de que me encantan los gatos ๐Ÿ˜‚) .

And these little Alice in Wonderland bookmarks are super adorable! As I mentioned before, I’m a complete nerd when it comes to stationery so I couldn’t leave aside a mechanical pencil nor a few note pads for writing whatever you want.

[Esp] Y estos marca pรกginas metรกlicos de Alicia en el Paรญs de las Maravillas son demasiado adorables! Como les dije antes, soy sรบper nerd cuando se trata de artรญculos de papelerรญa, asรญ que es a penas lรณgico que no podรญa dejar de mencionar un portaminas y un bloc de notitas para escribir cualquier cosita.

I’m not sure whether these adorable tiny planters enter in a home decor category, but they are so cute that I want them in every single design! The Peropon ones (the ones with the tongue out) are super cute, love how chubby the characters are.

[Esp] No estoy segura sobre si estas pequeรฑas macetitas entran en la categorรญa de decoraciรณn, pero son tan lindas que las quiero en todos los diseรฑos. La colecciรณn de Peropon (los de la lengรผita afuera) son demasiado cuchis! Me encanta como los personajes son redonditos ๐Ÿ˜ซ๐Ÿ’–

The Chuppon and the Shippon are mega adorable as well. I mean, I can’t choose a favourite ๐Ÿ˜ญ They’re just too cute to be true!

[Esp] La serie de Chuppon y la de Shippon no se quedan atrรกs. Son super adorables ๐Ÿ˜ญ Me gustan tanto que no puedo elegir un favorito! Son demasiado bonitos como para ser cierto.

Look at these! They look so cute together. Plants brighten up every space, but plants with lovely and creative planters such as these are just marvellous. Don’t you think? ๐Ÿฅฐ

I know y’all might be thinking “is there anything that you don’t want?” and I just feel pretty much like Marina in Primadonna Girl โœจ Just saying ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ Haha. Last month I got a few skin care items because I was running low in almost everything and, since your gal loves to try stuff, I decided it was time to change some products and give it a try to some new items I set my eyes on.ย As I mentioned before on my previous K-Beauty haul, I’ll post full reviews of every single item mentioned in this category, but this is definitely not that post. So far I’m sharing with you some cute pictures and firsts impressions.

[Esp] Holi โœจ En mi entrada anterior les prometรญ actualizar el blog mรกs seguido y he mantenido mi promesa (yaaay!). El mes pasado me pedรญ algunas cositas de skincare porque la mayorรญa de las que ya tenรญa se me estaban acabando. Como algunos sabrรกn, amo probar cosas nuevas y descubrir nuevos favoritos asรญ que decidรญ que ya era tiempo de cambiar algunas marcas por otras que aรบn no habรญa tenido tiempo de probar. Como les mencionรฉ en mi K-Beauty Haul anterior, prometo hacer reseรฑas detalladas de todos los artรญculos mencionados, pero esta entrada es diferente. La hago con el propรณsito de enseรฑarles fotos bonitas de los productos y compartirles mis primeras impresiones respecto a ellos, por eso lo que escribo es super cortito y no les doy mรกs info sobre las cositas que he comprado.

One of the things I needed the most was a moisturiser and I really wanted to try one of the Innisfree’s new Jeju Cherry Blossom collection. I chose the Jelly moisturiser since it’s summer and oh boy, Madrid’s weather is insane. Very lightweight consistency yet hydrating enough for my skin. I’m super happy with this purchase and I must admit I was worry since it contains some scent (which is delicious) and I didn’t know how my skin would react to that.

[Esp] Ahora, ya aclarado todo, les sigo contando sobre mis compras ๐Ÿ˜‚ Una de las cosas que mรกs necesitaba era una hidratante porque la que tenรญa de Clinique ya estaba en las รบltimas. Una a la que le tenรญa el ojo montado desde meses era de la colecciรณn Jeju Cherry Blossom de Innisfree. Estuve investigando sobre la cremita en gel (jelly cream) porque deseaba algo con textura ligera por el calor tan agobiante que hace en Madrid. Con este clima, cero ganas de aplicarme algo pesado ๐Ÿ˜ซ Al principio estaba nerviosa y no sabรญa si comprarla o pasar de ella porque tiene fragancia (riquรญsima, por cierto) y no sabรญa si mi piel podrรญa reaccionar mal a ella por esto, pero no sucediรณ y les digo que estoy enamorada. Es la mejor formulaciรณn en gel que he probado hasta ahora!

Next thing I wanted (desperately) to try was the Cosrx Light Fit Real Water to Cream toner. Yes, I know! Weird name yet a very nice product. Now, if you follow me on insta you should know I LOVE COSRX’s Good Morning Gel Cleanser (a cult favourite as well) and I was hesitant when I ordered the toner since I read so many mixed reviews. Mostly, angry reviews. But, you see? The magic of every skin is that you’ll never know which product might work for you. And this baby was a dream! I love it’s texture and how watery it turns. It’s not 100% hydrating, but I’m ok with that. I mean, it’s REALLY hot in Madrid right now and I just don’t need a thick heavy cream. Also, I paire it with my jelly moisturiser and it’s as hydrating as my skin needs it. Love how it makes my skin looks so smooth! Oh, and obviously it contains one of my top ingredients, Niacinamide (a.k.a Vitamin B3).

[Esp] El Light Fit Real Water to Cream toner de COSRX era algo que deseaba probar desesperadamente. Si me siguen en instagram sabrรกn que soy super fan del Low PH Good Morning Gel cleanser de esta marca (favorito de muchos) y ver lo innovador de esta formula me llamรณ muchรญsimo la atenciรณn. Tiene una textura cremosa muy ligera y se transforma en agua! Es genial, lo se. Aunque no hidrata mucho, no lo veo como un contra porque lo uso como tรณnico y aplico despuรฉs mi hidratante y para mi, es mรกs que suficiente. Ahora, he aquรญ la magia de cada piel y el porque siempre digo que cada piel es un mundo. A pesar de la cantidad de reseรฑas mixtas (sobre todo malas de gente quejรกndose) me aventurรฉ a probarlo y me gusta muchรญsimo como se siente mi piel tras aplicarlo. Puntos extra porque contiene uno de mis ingredientes favoritos: Niacinamida, tambiรฉn conocida como Vitamina B3.

Next on my list is the Pyunkang Yul essence toner. I’ve try it before and I fell in love with it the first time I used it, so when I ran out of toner, I knew I had to repurchase itย ๐Ÿ’–It’s one of my favourite toners alongside with the Klairs supple preparation tonerย โœจย It leaves my skin ultra soft and when I’m having a bad week, it helps to calm any irritation I might have.

[Esp] Lo siguiente en mi lista es el essence toner de Pyunkang Yul que no es ningรบn extraรฑo en mi rutina. Lo usรฉ por primera vez a principios del aรฑo pasado y quedรฉ tan encantada con el que decidรญ volver a comprarlo cuando tuviera la oportunidad. Es uno de mis tรณnicos favoritos junto al Supple preparation toner de Klairs.

K-Beauty Haul I

Well, I know I tend to disappear from time to time buuuut, I’m back and I’d like to share with you some pics and thoughts of a few things I bought this month. Obviously all of them are k-beauty related because y’all know how much your gal loves korean brands (korean everything, to be honest) (เน‘>แด—<เน‘)

Let’s start saying that I buy (a lot) from Beauty Box Korea (I’ll explain you later what’s that magical website and why I love it so freaking much). This time I pampered myself with a few goodies I’ve been craving for sooo long.

These babies arrived pretty soon and I was so excited to received these that I started opening the package on the street, on my way home from work (LOL).

The EGLIPS pact puff has a lovely peach shape (Y’all know how much I love peaches ๐Ÿ‘ They’re perfectly shaped and look like butts. I’m a fan!) and the moment I set my eyes on it I was like: you’ll be mine! ๐Ÿ”ฅ The best part about this is not only it’s fabulous 1.19$ price, but it’s texture and the way it perfectly applies the pact powder :’)

[Esp] El pact puff de EGLIPS es precioso! Esta esponjita tiene forma de durazno ๐Ÿ‘ (ustedes ya deberรญan saber lo mucho que los amo) y es parte de una ediciรณn limitada de la marca. Un bonus point fue el precio, me costรณ sรณlo 1.19$. La textura es ultra suave y deja un acabado muy parejo y bonito al aplicar el polvo compacto.

Now, the 3CE multi eye color palette #Beach Muse from the Mood for Blossom collection is my ultimate love! The colours are incredibly perfect and they’re even better than I’ve had imagine. I mean, I don’t have nor fair, nor dark skin, you see, I’m in between and sometimes that makes everything harder on me to choose something I like but I can’t swatch. This palette didn’t disappoint me and I couldn’t be happier ๐Ÿ’–

[Esp] La paleta de 3CE era una de las cosas que mรกs querรญa y no me animaba a comprarla hasta que me entrรณ el pรกnico de que se agotara lol (si, soy ese tipo de persona). Al recibir el paquete estaba TAN emocionada que empecรฉ a abrirlo en la calle de camino a casa ๐Ÿ˜† Los colores son preciosos! Me sorprendiรณ la pigmentaciรณn ya que mi piel tiene un tono que la verdad no se definir, no tengo la tez oscura, pero tampoco clara, estoy ahรญ como en el medio y la zona de mis pรกrpados es unos tonos mรกs oscura que el resto de mi piel en la cara. Como los colores son super rosita y durazno, estaba algo nerviosa, pero esta paleta no me decepcionรณ y no podrรญa estar mรกs feliz ๐Ÿ’–

And last but not least, my Mamonde creamy tint balms are GORGEOUS. Very long-lasting, beautiful and creamy application and the loveliest colours ever! I had these on my list since last year but I wasn’t sure to order them since I was using my “Dolce Vita” lip crayon by Nars and I didn’t use it as intensively to finish it soon and justify this purchase.

[Esp] Y por รบltimo, pero no menos importante, los bรกlsamos de Mamonde son ridรญculamente hermosos. La formula es super cremosa, los colores son bellรญsimos y duran un montรณn en tus labios. Los tuve en mi lista por algo mรกs de un aรฑo y no me terminaba de decidir a comprarlos ya que en ese entonces estaba utilizando el crayon de Nars en “Dolce Vita” (el cual sigue siendo uno de mis colores favoritos para labios) y no podรญa justificar tener mรกs labiales. La carta de colores de los Creamy Tint Balms de Mamonde es h e r m o s a. Tienen muchรญsima variedad y cada uno mรกs boni que el anterior. La verdad es que quisiera aventurarme y pedirme un tono coral, pero no estoy segura de que se me vea bien ๐Ÿค”

I promise to review all of these items soon! Sunday Kitchen: Pancakes ๐Ÿฅž

Receta para panquequitas esponjosas (a.k.a tortitas, hotcakes, panqueques). Para leer en espaรฑol, baja un poco mรกs ๐ŸŒผ

I don’t know much abut cooking. I do enjoy making some edible goods because Hey! Life’s good when you eat a good meal โœจ This is my very first recipe on this blog and I really hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Remember that most of the ingredients may be substituted by other that suits better your lifestyle and food regimen.

Ingredients๐Ÿฅž

  • 2 large eggs ๐Ÿฅš
  • A pinch of salt ๐Ÿง‚
  • 1/3 cup of cake flour ๐ŸŽ‚
  • 1 cup of almond milk ๐Ÿฅ›
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar ๐Ÿฅ„
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder ๐Ÿฅฃ

*You can add melted butter, vanilla extract and/or cinnamon to the mix too! I just made my batter as fast as I could because I was HUNGRY. Plus I didn’t have some of the ingredients hehe~

The main thing with the fluffy pancakes is that you need to whip the egg’s whites until you reach stiff peaks. Well friends, I don’t own a mixer, but a whisker! Obviously I didn’t plan to hurt my arms on this prep. So, here’s what I did:

โ™ฅ Mix the two eggs in a bowl until they start forming bubbles. Little by little add the sugar, the pinch of salt and the milk. In another bowl combine the baking powder and the flour. Here’s a recommendation, if you have a strainer in your power, sieve your dry ingredients and mix them carefully with the wet ones. In case you don’t (just like me) don’t worry.

โ™ฅ Use your whisker or a silicon spatula to incorporate the dry ingredients little by little to the wet ingredients mix. Remember to not overmix the batter, otherwise the pancakes won’t be fluffy.

โ™ฅ Set the batter aside for about 5-10 minutes.

โ™ฅ Pour the batter on a heated non-stick pan and wait until it forms lots of bubbles, then, flip it gently and wait until is golden et voilร ! It’s ready to eat it. Now, here’s my biggest trick so far. I used a small non-stick pan so the batter won’t run all over it and this way could grow ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ

No se mucho sobre cocina, lo que si se, es que disfruto un montรณn cuando preparo algรบn plato que me gusta. La vida es bella cuando comes rico โœจ Esta es mi primera receta en el blog y de verdad espero que les guste tanto como a mi. Recuerden que casi todos (si no es que todos) los ingredientes se pueden sustituir por otros que se ajusten mejor a su estilo de vida o rรฉgimen alimenticio.

  • 2 huevos grandes ๐Ÿฅš
  • Una pizca de sal ๐Ÿง‚
  • 3 cucharadas de azรบcar ๐Ÿฅ„
  • 1 taza de leche de almendras ๐Ÿฅ›
  • 1/3 de taza de harina leudante ๐ŸŽ‚
  • 2 cucharaditas de polvo para hornear ๐Ÿฅฃ

*Puedes aรฑadir mantequilla derretida, extracto de vainilla y/o canela a la mezcla de las panquecas. Yo hice la mรญa lo mรกs rรกpido que pude porque morรญa de hambre y aparte no tenรญa uno que otro de esos ingredientes ๐Ÿ˜‚

La cosa con las panquecas esponjosas es que necesitas batir las claras de huevo a punto de nieve y yo, como no tengo batidora elรฉctrica sino un batidor de antaรฑo y no planeaba quedarme sin brazos cocinando esto fue lo que hice.

โ™ฅ Bate los huevos en un bowl hasta que empiecen a formarse algunas burbujas. Poco a poco incorpora el azรบcar, la sal y la leche. En otro bowl mezcla los ingredientes secos. Aquรญ va una pequeรฑa recomendaciรณn, si tienes un colador, cierne/tamiza el polvo para hornear y la harina y mรฉzclalos con cuidado con el resto de los ingredientes.

โ™ฅ Usa tu batidor o una espรกtula para incorporar todos los ingredientes. Recuerda no batirlos demasiado, de hacerlo, perderรกn el aire y las panquecas no subirรกn.

โ™ฅ Deja reposar la mezcla durante unos 5 – 10 minutos.

โ™ฅ Como paso final, vierte la mezcla en un sartรฉn antiadherente. Deja cocinar hasta que se formen burbujas en la superficie y de esta forma sabrรกs que estรกn listas para voltearlas. Sรญrvelas cuando estรฉn doraditas ๐Ÿฅž Y ya tienes tus panquecas listas para comer ๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธโœจ Mi mayor truco en todo esto fue usar un sartรฉn pequeรฑito para que la masa pudiera subir sin desparramarse ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ

Mis panquecas las servรญ con mantequilla, miel y fresas. A otras les aรฑadรญ fresas y leche condensada. Ustedes pueden acompaรฑarlas con los ingredientes que deseen. Espero que esta receta les guste tanto como a mi ๐Ÿ’– Si la hacen, etiquรฉtenme en instagram para poder ver como quedaron! ๐Ÿฅž

๐ŸŒธ Laneige Good Night Kit Full Review ๐ŸŒ™ โœจ

I’ve been using this set since quite a while now and I must say I’ll keep purchasing it. I know it took me way to long to write this (around two years? Lol) but I had to finish this post. So far, both of these items became a must in my night routine and here’s why:

The Water Sleeping Mask is LIFE for me. I love to pair it with the Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane serum by The Ordinary, the next morning my skin is glowing, super moisturised and surprisingly without sebum! Gotta love this combo, ya know?

Pros:

  • Light texture.
  • A little goes a long way.
  • Easy application even tho it has a watery texture.
  • Immediate hydration.
  • Very little fresh scent.
  • Pretty good value.

Contra:

You’ll be pretty surprised (just like I was at the time) to find out that I love this thing so much, that I couldn’t find any flaws. After two years (or even more) using it I still reach it every time I feel my skin needs a hydration boost. Honestly, I love this thing. A LOT!

Now, when it comes to the Lip Sleeping Mask I must clarify something. The scent/flavour that comes with the Good Night Kit is the Berry one, and, I hadn’t tried the others but as far as I know (due to the multiple reviews I’ve read) this one is the best one.

Pros:

  • Not that sticky.
  • Instant soft lips.
  • Yummy yet not strong scent.
  • With very little product you do a LOT.

Contra:

  • Kinda Pricey.
  • You only see result if your lips are in very bad condition. If you have healthy lips you won’t see anything and tbh, to spend that much money on this is not very wise.

[Esp] Hace ya un par de aรฑos que vengo usando Goodnight Kit de Laneige, el Water Sleeping Mask es, en definitiva, un must en mi rutina nocturna. Y el Berry Lip Sleeping Mask es maravilloso cuando tengo los labios irritados o muy resecos.

Empecemos con la Water Sleeping Mask que se ganรณ un espacio en mi cajรณn de skin care y se volviรณ mi paso favorito en la rutina nocturna.

Pros:

  • Textura ligera.
  • Rinde muchรญsimo.
  • Muy fรกcil de aplicar.
  • Hidrataciรณn inmediata.
  • Fragancia fresca y muy suave.
  • Buena relaciรณn precio-calidad.

Contras:

Sorprendentemente no conseguรญ nada que no me gustara en este producto. Despuรฉs de mรกs de dos aรฑos usรกndolo, aรบn es uno de mis favoritos, sobre todo si siento la piel muy deshidratada. Me gusta utilizarla cuando aplico el serum de Granactive Retinoid 5% en Escualeno de The Ordinary, a la maรฑana siguiente mi piel amanece super hidratada, suave y, misteriosamente, sin sebo.

En cuanto a la Lip Sleeping Mask, mi lista es bastante corta

Pros:

  • La textura no es tan pegajosa.
  • Suaviza los labios rรกpidamente.
  • Con una pequeรฑa cantidad tienes lo suficiente.
  • El olor es riquรญsimo sin llegar a ser muy fuerte/empalagoso .

Contras:

  • Solo ves resultados si tienes los labios muy agrietados. Si tienes los labios sanos no notarรกs nada en lo absoluto.
  • Si lo compras por separado puede resultar costoso. Hay bรกlsamos que cuestan menos y me parece que funcionan muchรญsimo mejor.

Laneige Good Night Kit: Water Sleeping Mask & Lip Mask first impressions

Recently I got the opportunity to try two of the most famous Laneige products thanks to Sampleo Spain. When I received the package I was really excited since Iโ€™ve been wanting for so long to try these sleeping packs and OH GOD! I was not disappointed ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

First, letโ€™s talk a bit about Laneige! This is a south brand founded by AmorePacific in 1994. Recently itโ€™s been gaining lots of recognition in Europe due the quality of their products. Actually, you can find now some of them on Sephora, including this set.

The day I got the Laneige sleeping pack I was pretty impatient. When the night came and it was about time to prepare my skin to go to bed I was HYPED! First, I did all of my routine and as a final step I applied the water mask. I loved the texture and itโ€™s subtle scent. It spreads easily, itโ€™s not tacky at all and it absorbs quite fast. Right afterwards I tried the lip mask which I must say smells incredible! Itโ€™s a sweet berry essence, yet nothing too strong. It didnโ€™t bother me at all on the contrary, I loved it!.

For a lip mask it was really lightweight and easy to spread. Not too thick, nor tacky. To me, itโ€™s the perfect texture and consistency. After I finished my whole skin care routine went to bed ASAP. The next morning I was shocked. My skin and lips were extremely soft. It was absurd. The fact that a product can deliver such results from night to day seemed to me as witchcraft, seriously.

It’s been already more than 2 weeks since I started to use these sleeping masks and honestly, I feel I’m ready to give a full review ๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ So you can expect a full pro/con list alongside with more pictures.

Hace unas semanas tuve la oportunidad de probar dos de los productos mรกs cรฉlebres de Laneige, gracias a Sampleo Espaรฑa. Cuando recibรญ el paquete estaba sรบper emocionada porque llevaba muchรญsimo tiempo queriendo usar el “Good night kit” y *spoiler alert* no me decepcionรณ.

Primero hablemos un poco sobre Laneige. Esta es una marca fundada por la compaรฑรญa surcoreana AmorePacific en 1994. Recientemente ha ganado mucho reconocimiento en Europa y Amรฉrica debido a la calidad de sus productos y al boom del k-beauty. Recientemente, Sephora presentรณ en sus tiendas varios artรญculos de Laneige, entre ellos, este kit de sleeping masks.

En cuanto tuve el paquete en mis manos, quise que inmediatamente fuera de noche para poder probarlo. Cuando llegรณ la hora, hice mi rutina de siempre y como paso final, utilicรฉ el “Good Night Kit” de Laneige.

La Water Sleeping Mask es increรญble. La textura es casi como un gel, sin llegar a ser tan lรญquida. El olor no sabrรญa describirlo pero es muy fresquito y sutil, personalmente es algo que me agrada. Es sรบper fรกcil de usar, se esparce perfectamente y la textura no resulta pegajosa en la piel.

Mi รบltimo paso en la rutina fue aplicarme el lip mask. Mi primera impresiรณn sobre este fue sobre su olor. Es riquรญsimo! Tiene una esencia a frutos rojos dulces que, en mi opiniรณn, no es demasiado fuerte. Para ser un tratamiento para labios tiene una textura mรกs ligera que muchos otros, no llega a ser realmente pegajosa y este hecho fue algo que me sorprendiรณ gratamente.

Al terminar de aplicarme los รบltimos pasos de mi rutina, fui directo a dormir. Pese a que al principio estaba un poco escรฉptica sobre obtener resultados inmediatos, me llevรฉ una gran sorpresa a la maรฑana siguiente. Tanto mi piel como mis labios estaban extremadamente suaves. Era absurdo. Lo primero que se me vino a la cabeza fue: brujerรญa!. Quedรฉ asombrada y muy contenta con la experiencia y, en definitiva, los seguirรฉ usando. Hey guys! I decided I wanted to start a blog (again) just when I got my very first job here and I got sick that same week. What a journey, huh?


I guess you’ll be wondering: “Who’s this girl?” Well, let me introduce myself. I’m Anny, a very ordinary person. I was born and raised in the tropical paradise that’s called Venezuela, but since 2017 I’ve been living in Madrid. I studied graphic design, got married and I’m currently developing myself as an illustrator. How average yet cool is that?.


I’m a sucker for skin care and I often find myself talking about that topic with most of my friends so I said: “Hey! You know what? I should start a blog and write about skin care. It’ll be awesome!” Also, I recently thought it would be fun to record some of my memories in this world.


Basically that’s how this blog was born. Nothing extraordinary, I know, I know.
This very short entry is just to say hi and tell you a bit about myself. Hope we’ll get to know each other with the time (and more blog posts). Since I already said everything I thought it was worth to mention (mildly interesting things, you know) why don’t you introduce yourself?

ยกHola! ๐ŸŒผ Estas semanas han sido una locura. Decidรญ empezar este blog justo cuando conseguรญ mi primer empleo aquรญ y me enfermรฉ justo en mi primera semana. No podรญa hablar debido a que mis cuerdas vocales estaban inflamadas. Para mi el no hablar en lo absoluto por 4 dรญas fue algo sumamente extraรฑo y aรบn asรญ, satisfactorio.


Este post va a ser muy cortito porque quiero hacer un resumen de las cosas que pienso son ligeramente interesantes sobre mi. Mi nombre es Alvanny, pero prefiero que me llamen Annyโœจ Nacรญ y crecรญ en el norte de Amรฉrica del Sur, para ser mรกs precisa, en Venezuela. En el 2017 dejรฉ mi paรญs y a mi familia para establecerme en Madrid. Estudiรฉ Diseรฑo grรกfico, me casรฉ y actualmente estoy desarrollรกndome como ilustradora.


Soy demasiado fan de todo lo que tenga que ver con el skin care (cuidado de la piel) y siempre estoy hablando con mis amigos sobre este tema, debido a ello se me ocurriรณ que escribir un blog al respecto serรญa entretenido. Sumado a esto, pensรฉ que debรญa documentar mis vivencias en este lugar.


Esa, amigos, es la historia de como naciรณ Honey Blossom. Nada extraordinario, lo se, lo se.


Espero que con el tiempo y mรกs entradas en este blog, logremos conocernos mejor. Ahora que les he contado algunas cosillas sobre mi, me gustarรญa que me contaran un poco sobre ustedes.
